Zambia’s Public Holidays Act lists Good Friday and Holy Saturday among the days observed as public holidays throughout the country. The Employment Code provides that the Minister may designate a public holiday as a paid public holiday. It gives an employee full pay for that holiday subject to attendance conditions, and provides for wages at an agreed rate when working on a designated paid holiday is normal under an agreement or custom.[2]
