The Labour Code says legal holidays are set by decree and remain paid even when they fall on a Sunday or the regular weekly rest day. The decree’s next-working-day rule applies to Independence Day, New Year and Eid el-Fitr when they fall on a non-working day; it does not name Christmas among those holidays.[1][2]

Christmas marks the Nativity, or birth of Jesus Christ, for Christian worshippers. In one account of the holiday, Guinea’s Presidency reported that Christians gathered for Mass at the Anne-Marie Javouhey parish in Nongo, Conakry, and that the President attended the Eucharist.[3]
