An employee who is required to work may receive a day off in lieu within 28 days before or after the holiday, with one day’s holiday pay for that day. If no day in lieu is given within the period, the Order provides for additional holiday pay; employer and employee may also agree that there will be no day in lieu, in which case additional pay is due.
