How the leave planner works
Enter a country, a year and the number of leave days you have. The planner looks at every break where a few leave days connect a public holiday to a weekend, then chooses the combination that gives you the most days off in total without using more leave than you have.
It follows each country's own weekend, so in countries where the weekend is Friday and Saturday the suggestions follow that pattern. Breaks never overlap, and in the current year only dates from today onwards are suggested.
Treat the result as a starting point. Your contract, collective agreement or employer may add holidays, set periods when leave is not possible or have their own rules for booking leave.
Frequently asked questions
Why doesn't the planner use all my leave days?
It only suggests breaks that include a public holiday. Leave that cannot be connected to a holiday is left for you to plan as you like.
Does it include regional holidays?
No, only national public holidays. If your region has holidays of its own, you may get even more days off than shown.
Can I share my plan?
Yes. The country, year and number of leave days are kept in the page address, so copying the link opens the same plan.
