How the comparison works
Choose two to four countries and a date range. The table lists every date on which at least one of them has a public holiday and shows what that day is in the others: a holiday, a weekend or a working day.
Holidays that fall on the same day in two or more countries are marked, and a filter shows only those dates. The summary counts the shared holidays, the holidays only one country has and the working days all the countries have in common.
It helps teams that work across countries plan meetings and deadlines, and helps families in different countries find days off together. Each country's own weekend is taken into account.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the same holiday fall on different dates?
Some holidays follow different calendars. Many Orthodox churches celebrate Christmas on 7 January, and Orthodox Easter often falls on a different Sunday from the Western date. Islamic holidays follow the lunar calendar, and their observed dates can differ between countries.
What is a working day in common?
A day that is neither a public holiday nor a weekend day in any of the chosen countries.
Are regional holidays included?
No. The comparison uses national public holidays only.
