The law says holidays falling on non-working days are not transferred to the next working day.[1]
In the Federation of Bosnia & Herzegovina, the labor ministry says workers may take up to four working days per calendar year for religious and traditional needs, including up to two paid days. Workers observing Vaskrs may use paid leave after prior agreement with their employer.[2] These provisions describe believers’ leave rights; they do not make Easter a universal day off for all residents.

Easter can also appear in public life beyond church services and family gatherings. The City of Sarajevo has reported a Good Friday event involving the painting of an Easter egg outside the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, showing one example of a local Catholic observance.[4]
Opening hours and services depend on the locality and provider, so check directly before making plans. In the Republic of Srpska, a Sunday Easter date itself does not create a substitute working day under the Holidays Law.[1]
